India is a country where one can find an amalgamation of different religions. These religions make the country’s culture more vibrant and diverse. One such religion spreading the message of peace is Sikhism. It is one of the youngest religions of the world and finds its roots in the Indian states like Punjab and Haryana. The shrines of Sikihism, Gurudwaras, display wonderful piece of architect and serenity. This 13 nights and 14 days itinerary takes the tourists to some of the famous Takhts of Sikhism. The tour lets the traveler explore different regions with religious significance in Sikhism such as Chandigarh, Ropar, Fategarh, Anandpur, Amritsar, Tarn Taran, Goindwal, and Patna. In addition, the itinerary also includes visiting magnificent tourist destinations such as Varanasi, Agra and Delhi.

Itinerary

On arrival in Delhi in the morning, our representative will be there for your welcome and transfer to your already booked hotel in Delhi. Rest of the day is free to relax or for leisure activities.

In the morning after breakfast, we will leave for the city tour of New Delhi including Humayun’s Tomb, India Gate and the Qutub Minar. Later return back to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Today morning, we will take a visit to the Delhi Gurdwaras including the Gurdwara Bangla Sahib near Connaught Place, and the Gurdwara Sis Ganj Sahib, which was built to commemorate the martyrdom of Guru Teg Bahadur in Chandni Chowk market area. Rest of the time is free to explore the market and then visit the Red Fort and Jama Masjid.

In the morning, we will board the Shatabdi train to travel to Chandigarh. followed by city tour of Le Corbusier’s fame. Enjoy an overnight train journey

Today morning, we will drive to Anandpur via the shrine of Fategarh and Ropar. An overnight stay at the lodge.

In the morning, we will visit Anandpur, The Holy City of Bliss (second only to Amritsar in importance), where the tenth Guru, Gobind Singh, instituted the Khalsa in 1699. Spend the day in exploring and learning about this great faith. Later, drive to the Holy city of Amritsar. Enjoy a night stay at the hotel in Amritsar.

Today, we will visit the Golden Temple, the central shrine of Sikhism, and one of India’s most fabulous monuments. Here, visitors are truly welcome to take part in the devotions and to immerse themselves in the history and culture of Sikhism.

The day is fixed to visit the nearby shrines of Tarn Taran and Goindwal to see many historical Gurudwaras. Goindwal was the first Sikh pilgrimage centre. Later return back to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Today, we will board the early morning Shatabdi train to Delhi. On arrival in Delhi, our representative will be there to greet you and transfer to the domestic airport to catch the connecting flight to Patna, the second seat of Sikh authority in the Eastern State of Bihar. Enjoy an overnight stay at the hotel in Patna.

In the morning after breakfast, we will visit the birthplace of the final Guru, Gobind Singh and the most important takht after Amritsar. Later return back to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Today morning, we will be visiting the interesting Patna museum. Later in the afternoon, we will take a train ride to Varanasi. On arrival in Varanasi, check in at the hotel/guest house. Later in the evening, we will take a short tour to the major Temples of Varanasi. An overnight stay at the hotel/guest house in Varanasi.

The day is fixed to dawn boat ride on the Holy River Ganges. Later, we will transfer you to the railway station to board train to Agra. An overnight stay in the palace in Agra.

Today in the morning, we will proceed for a tour of the charismatic Taj Mahal and the majestic Red Fort. In the afternoon, we will drive to Delhi and enjoy a night stay at the hotel in Delhi.

In the early morning, we will transfer you to the airport to catch the flight for international departure.
